Rule Change: New York State Appellate Division, First Department

Mariana Braylovskiy The court has announced amendments to rules 600.10 and 600.11. These modifications require the electronic submission of all documents when perfecting and answering an appeal. You can access the court’s order here.

    Highlights:

  • Effective immediately: Email addresses are required for every counsel appearance on all covers.
  • Effective July 1, 2010: Email filing of briefs in electronic format in accordance with court’s/clerk’s specification will be required.
  • Effective September 1, 2010: Email filing of Records and Appendices in electronic format in accordance with court’s/clerk’s specification will be required.
