Raymond Harmon

Ray Harmon joined the Counsel Press team in 2004. Over the span of his career at Counsel Press, Ray’s roles have varied from eBrief Coordinator to Desktop Supervisor to Electronic Filings Manager, and on to his current role as Senior Appellate Consultant. Since 2015 Ray has transitioned out of his managerial and electronic roles and has focused his attention as an Appellate Consultant for various state and federal courts.

Mr. Harmon’s main areas of expertise fall within the Virginia State courts and Federal court systems; with his main focuses being that of the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Virginia Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit, and the Eleventh Circuit.

Over the years, Mr. Harmon has filed thousands of appellate documents (traditional or electronic) in appellate courts throughout the country. He has served hundreds of lawyers and law firms and continues to grow his understanding of our vast appellate system. Ray ensures that all of Counsel Press’ filings are of the finest quality. Mr. Harmon assures that no detail is ever overlooked.

As eBrief^TM and Electronic Filing Manager, Ray has built the electronic products that Counsel Press offers our clients on a daily basis. From simple PDF documents with OCR and bookmarking functionality, all the way up to fully hyperlinked eBrief projects, Ray has managed and overseen the work and the staff that produces these services. Ray is still available to help when a particularly large or complicated project needs additional attention. He is an integral part of the electronic product lines that Counsel Press produces and still loves the opportunity to discuss eBrief and eFiling services.

Having begun his legal career in 2000, Ray’s in-depth understanding of all things “appellate” has solidified him as a vital member of the Counsel Press organization and serves as a resource that our clients rely on successfully each day.
