Counsel Press Presents Its New CLE Program on Filing Federal Appeals in the Tri-State Region to the New York City Bar Association – September 17, 2015

Counsel Press has been invited to present its new CLE program titled,"Federal Appeals in the Tri-State Region: Second and Third Circuit Practice" at the New York City Bar Association. Our prior appellate CLE events with the NYC Bar have been a great success, so we’ve been invited again.

About the program:
This program focuses on the procedural aspects of the appellate process in the Second and Third Circuits. During the first part of the program, attendees will learn the methods for initiating and filing appeals in the Second Circuit, including an overview of the rules, an explanation of the many required forms, timing considerations, requirements for briefs and appendices, motions, oral arguments and costs.

This program will then move to the Third Circuit's rules and procedure covering the standing orders and how they affect filings, most common mistakes and how to avoid them, and the key differences with the Second Circuit procedure. This program concludes with various ethical considerations facing appellate practitioners and landmines to avoid in practice.

Where & When:
This program will be presented at the New York City Bar, 42 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036 on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
